At approximately 8PM on Thursday, May 16, 2019, units from the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department (SSVFD) were dispatch to the 18300 Blk of Wickham Rd for a personal injury collision (PIC) described as high velocity. Upon arrival, responders found a single vehicle that had struck a hydrant and a tree.  The driver was transported by fire department personnel and the vehicle was secured.  Units on the scene were Ambulance 740 and Aerial Tower 740.  Also on scene were Battalion Chief Mark Lamb from the Hillandale Volunteer Fire Department and MCFRS Chief Scott Goldstein.
