Sunday, March 1, 2020 – SSVFD Units Respond to Serious Personal Injury Collision
On March 1, 2020 at 0111 hours, Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department Company 4 (Paramedic Engine 704 and Ambulance 704) was alerted to a Personal Injury Collision (PIC) at Norbeck Road and Layhill Road. As more information became available and units arrived on scene, additional resources were requested. Truck 725 and Rescue Squad 742 extricated two Priority 1 trauma patients. Both were transported, along with a Priority 2 trauma, to local trauma centers.
Units on scene included: Ambulance 704, Paramedic Engine 704, Truck 725, Rescue Squad 742, Paramedic Engine 740, Paramedic Engine 725, Ambulance 725B, Ambulance 725, ALS725, Chief 704B, and EMS704.
